What are they used for? I checked wiki, but no article was found, I searched here, and expecedly got only Superior Charr Carvings topics.

You need it to complete the Temple of the Damned quest.

I believe their only use is for the quest, Temple of the Damned, which requires you to defeat Murakai and collect the Carving to return to that "Charr Merchant" (can't remember name).
